On our third day in the United kingdom capital, Maria, Mike, Emily and me left our London apartment for a breakfast outdoors, as we have seen a wonderful cafe and wanted to try the muffins and the pancakes there. It was fantastic and the children were quite thrilled, since Maria told them we should bring them to see the Wimbledon stadium and after that the Arsenal Stadium. These 2 sports facilities are very huge, therefore it took us the whole morning to reach them and make pictures. In the early afternoon, after we had a snack in a small, family-focused eating place, we decided it’s time to do some purchasing.

We were lucky to be in London throughout the product sales and thus we managed to buy a lot of items at a good price. We spend most of our time on Oxford Street, where we entered the huge shop Selfridges, the Zara and Marks & Spencer retailer shops. From Nike store we purchased a couple of pants and sport shoes for Mike and a nice sports dress for Emily.

We went back to our London holiday apartment to leave the bags and sleep a little bit. Happy but exhausted our kids felt in bed instantly. As soon as they got up we went to a great cafe in the Kensington area where we had been staying. The place was very nicely arranged and the meals was very tasty. I had a great, conventional English meal with beer, while Maria had a salad and a glass of white wine. The kids were amazed by the desserts.

Maria and I like dancing but with the children dance clubbing is not possible, though we knew London had a superb dancing scene. Therefore, we promised ourselves that we will return, just the two of us to see that other place of the United kingdom capital, which we missed on this trip with the children.

The moment I got up the subsequent day, the kids were still asleep in their own place in the London flat we have hired, while Maria was up preparing their breakfast and making coffee for the both of us. We enjoyed a calm half an hour and talked over which places we are to see throughout the day. After that the kids woke up and dressed up, enjoyed their bite and were finally prepared to go.

That day Maria made a decision that we ought to bring the little ones to see some ceremonies, which might be seen only in London and that, as we were confident, would make an impression on our little ones for a very long time. We left our London holiday flat and used the metro to reach the Buckingham Palace, where we saw the changing of the guards’ service. Mike and Emily were absolutely stunned by the foot guards with their red and black uniforms and the specific high black helmets. The service was not short, but the kids were curious and saw it until the end and after that did not want to leave the Memorial of Queen Victoria, wherefrom we saw the entire program.

I went to buy snacks and fish’n’chips for all of us, while Maria took Emily and Mike and went to the nearby Green Park where we had a modest family picnic and the kids liked laying on the lawn and running with other children that contacted them.

As the day was very hot, I advised we should move to the Hide Park and the Kensington Gardens, where is the Princess Diana Memorial and the playground next to it. This kids area is good for children up to 12 years old. Mike and Emily especially enjoyed the solid wood pirate ship and were discussing it during the whole evening as we went back to our London holiday flat.

When my spouse Melanie said that we must go on a vacation in London with the children, I discovered it odd, as London was not the ideal kids-friendly getaway that I could think of. Aside from that I thought it would be way too expensive. Yet I was wrong.

The initial thing my spouse made was to search the internet and to discover a outstanding London flat with great address and a reasonable price. The second thing was to find low-cost airplane tickets from one of the budget flight companies. Once the time came, we got the children and the baggage and went towards the terminal. And once in London, we arrived at the London vacation flat where the kids were impressed by the area they will had to share and my wife was happy for the totally equipped kitchen in which she was able to cook breakfast for the whole family.

Two hours after our appearance, Maria, the children and I were prepared to go visiting sites. I might say that there is always something set up for the families with kids. The first places me and Maria thought of however, were the famous London Zoo and the London Aquarium. The youngsters were quite thrilled with the pets they observed and kept on talking about them as we had sandwiches for lunch. In the late afternoon we reached our London flat worn out, yet in good mood and full of nice thoughts.

After dark we stopped at a tiny eatery, since we assured it is available for kids as well and that it has a good food selection for children. The restaurant was very close to our London holiday apartment, which was very convenient as the children were exhausted and we needed to bring them back to our London apartment the moment possible. Then Maria and I had some time for ourselves, drinking wine in the lounge zone, watching the news.

We’d a couple of additional days in the Scottish main city and were extremely happy that they coincided with the beginning of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Mark was thrilled that most of the alternative performances were to be organized next to our Edinburgh holiday apartment and we in fact handled to see several of them.

Being in the Scottish main city during the largest arts festival on the planet begins was extremely fascinating and we literally saw how the inhabitants doubled when all the entertainers and guests arrived to enjoy the festivity! The town was packed with young adults, thrilled to show on stage what these people are able of.

Mark and I loved the open-air street art fair along the Royal Mile and some free performances too. Mark loved most a play we saw, whilst I appreciated best a dancing theatre. During the initial night of the festival we had a meal and then went to a great pub where we attended a unique night show.

On the final date of our trip in the Scottish main city, we woke up early, stuffed our luggage to be ready and left in our Edinburgh apartment, and then we went to see two comedies that we genuinely had fun with.

From then on we still had time and money to had a salad and some delicious meal at the Hendersons bar, which was common among the vegetarians. The feeling was great and we were content that we actually had the chance to view the main sites of the Scottish capital and also to see some of the Fringe Festival activities.

I bought a lot of candy and small souvenirs for my colleagues at work, while Mark bought souvenirs for our two families. Then we went straight to our Edinburgh housing, grab the luggage and took a cab to the airport.

Mark woke up quite early on the next morning, therefore he went outside our Edinburgh flat for a good breakfast and a paper, after that made the coffee and woke me up. We’d a few peaceful hours and then went to the first of the several monuments I got on my list.

The one closest to our vacation apartment in Edinburgh turned to be the National Museum of Scotland, and then we went to the Royal Museum with its Millennium Clock. Mark insisted on viewing the National Gallery of Scotland as he is a serious fan of fine art and then he dragged me to the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.

I needed some fresh air and right after our visit down the museums, I convinced Mark we had more than enough for that day and we headed towards the Princes Street Gardens where we made a picnic. The recreation area was filled with parents with their small children and they all looked happy.

In the evening we directed towards the Leith district, that wasn’t that near the Edinburgh vacation apartment we were residing at, but was so charming that we couldn’t resist. We went to the Royal Yacht Britannia, which is on port there and then we headed towards the Shore, which is a place of fish and chip shops, curry houses and sophisticated sea food restaurants, together with conventional Scottish pubs. I selected a good brasserie called A Room in Leith, which enjoyed a waterside position and we got a good Scottish dinner.

Next Mark was the person to pick the bar we left for right after dinner and he picked The Kings Wark on the shoreline, which got to be a conventional bar on the water. There we had some beer and appetizers and stayed truly late till we eventually took a cab to our own Edinburgh accommodation.

A month ago I received a unique winning prize from work, which included a free journey to the Scottish capital for me and someone I pick to go on with. All was set up by the secretary in the office, thus me and Mark took the airplane tickets and the instructions on exactly how to get to our Edinburgh getaway flat once we reach the airport terminal.

We got accommodated and I was happy with all the conveniences I found in the serviced holiday apartment in Edinburgh that people were renting. Since that was our first time to the Scottish main city, before the holiday I did a good research on the web and built a program of just what we are to see. For the first day of our vacation Mark and I got on the sightseeing buses, to get to know the town and to pick the places we wished to come back to on the subsequent days. We covered all 4 bus trips out there and we made some nice photos.

The following day, after we woke up in our large comfortable bedroom, we got a cup of coffee and some fresh fruits and left our Edinburgh holiday apartment for a walk to the Royal Mile area where are centred the majority of the historic monuments in the city. We spent one hour checking out the Edinburgh Castle and then we went to the Holyroodhouse Palace on the other side, while along we appreciated some other historical places such as the Cathedral St. Giles and the House of John Knox, had a coffee and bought some souvenirs. I was pleased I had my cozy strolling shoes on, because we wandered a lot.

Our 2nd sightseeing day finished with a stop by at the Arthur’s Seat, wherefrom we could enjoy some good views in the direction of the city, before we had a nice dinner at a bar close to our Edinburgh holiday flat.

I got up quite early on our next morning here and I went down to a little bakery, a 2 minute walk apart from the Amsterdam flat we have rented, to buy breakfast for my two ladies. They were nicely astonished when they saw me coming with croissants and additional tasty things, still hot. We had a good family breakfast and searched the map for the sights that we have prepared to view.

These sites involved the Nemo destination, which is the biggest science center in the country and that happened to be in a place that was very easily available from the Amsterdam vacation residence we were residing at. Then we entered the <a href=”http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nederlands_Scheepvaartmuseum “>Maritime Museum too, since it is established just alongside Nemo.

Our subsequent stop was the Magere Brug, that is situated in the center of Amsterdam and dates back from the 1930’s and is decorated in white. There after we went to have a snack at a dining area close by, which had a special menu for the young children.

Ellie was tired and for that reason Anna and I took her to the Artis place, that is a big zoo in the downtown area of Amsterdam. Aside from zoo, here are also placed a planetarium and a zoological museum, along with a geological museum. I could say, me and my wife were fascinated in the place as well and had some enjoyable time there.

That final night in the capital of Netherlands was spend outside of our Amsterdam holiday dwelling. The 3 of us went to the Rembrandt Square and next to the Leidseplein Square. These two areas are the main entertainment places in the town, where are centred numerous night clubs, cinemas and theatres, plus a betting house and the great thing is that many of these are very easily accessible by foot, therefore we all had great moment.

On the following morning, our little girl Ellie woke us up, since she was keen and thrilled and wanted to go on sightseeing trip the moment achievable. My spouse Anna was persistent and thus she made Ellie eat her breakfast first, whilst we were having our first cup of espresso in the Amsterdam flat where we have been staying. We made a decision to devote that day to the galleries in Amsterdam, but we all decided that the three main galleries in the capital of the Netherlands is going to be sufficient.

The first museum to stop by and the one closest to the Amsterdam vacation flat, was the Van Gogh Museum. I am a total fan of this particular famous painter and was really happy to observe the greatest choice of prints from Van Gogh. The following site we saw was the House of Anne Frank, that features numerous historic artefacts revealing the tale of a little lady that made a huge impact on the world. Our 3rd stop that day was at the nation’s museum of the country Rijkmuseum. We managed to get snack at the gardens around that art gallery, that are really nice and sun-drenched.

On our way back to the Amsterdam vacation flat we have hired, we entered several souvenir shops and a number of big department shops. Anna particularly liked one of the open-air markets we passed by and bought some gifts.

Right after a short nap in our Amsterdam holiday apartment, we were ready to go out again and Anna suggested we spend a peaceful night, sitting at the large terrace of one of the local bars. There was a children playground area, so Ellie was occupied too, as we were eating and taking pleasure in a cold glass of draught beer and some home-produced wine.

I have been to holland main city many times, however it was always on business and even though I knew the zones, I wasn’t quite conscious of how enchanting and amazing this city is when you travel with your family and loved ones. Thus, for our 5th celebration, I made a decision to bring my better half and my little girl on a long weekend break in Amsterdam.

I arranged the airline seats and booked a serviced Amsterdam flat from a web site that I found simple to navigate and easy to reserve. The vacation Amsterdam holiday residence that I picked was really very carefully selected, since I wanted Anna and our child Ellie to be near to the main landmarks and yet to be able to return to the flat easily in case they require to.

When we got there in the capital of Netherlands, we were all happy, as that was our very first real family vacation, since until now Ellie was too small to take a trip with us. Thus, we settled in our Amsterdam flat, placed our baggage and were keen to go out again.

The initial thing we did that day was to start on a canal sail, as the canals in Amsterdam are image of the city that make its romantic charm, uncovering stunning panoramic views. There are a good amount of canal cruises to choose from in Amsterdam, but we decided to take a larger vessel, where we also had the chance to have dinner.

That afternoon we spend in the old town and the main zone of the city, which are close to our Amsterdam apartment. The centre is small and is enjoyable to explore when walking. It features great architecture which is a fest for the eye, numerous bridges and a lot of cafes, elegant restaurants and small parks.
